fax to our media relations department at 818-840-2405 and put
in your request for review copies, interviews or whatever else
you may need. If this is the first time that we're dealing with
you, you should also send in a sample copy of your publication
or your writing.
Can
we send in a demo tape?
We do not accept
unsolicited materials. If you send us something unsolicited (meaning,
we haven't asked you to send it to us), it may not be returned,
and it probably won't get a listen either so please don't just
send stuff.

Well, kiddo, a little
bad news. We don't sell direct to countries outside of the U.S.
We have all sorts of problems and made it our policy not to get
involved in the mail/payment problem arena.
If you need to be
serviced or have a problem with your cd, you should contact one
of our international partners and they should be able to help
you out. We can only provide support to the United States.

We no longer own the
rights to his albums, they now belong to MCA Records.
Why
don't you have Dean Martin cds?
His family controls
the licensing rights, in other words, we don't have the Dean Martin
catalog to put out.

in my film/production?
If you are putting
out a film, video, etc., for commercial use and you are looking
to use the actual recording of the song, you should contact Warner
Special Products at 818-953-7900. This number is for licensing
within the U.S. only. If you are trying to get a license for other
territories, please contact one of our international partners.

How
can I get permission to print the lyrics to (name of song)?
If you are looking
to print lyrics, you should contact the artist's publishing company,
not us. You can find more information about their publishing companies
at www.ascap.com
or www.bmi.com.
I'm
looking for a) sheet music b) lyrics c) instrumental version
of (insert song).
We do not sell sheet
music. You need to contact a sheet music store, as producing
sheet music is its own industry (although it's a rather thin
line, isn't it?).
We don't provide lyrics
unless they appear in the album packaging as the artist requests,
unless your initials are MTV or VH-1 and you are looking to play
our videos. And you can't be VH-1 unless you're Frank Zappa's
kid anyway, so don't even try it smartypants.
As for instrumental
versions of songs. We don't make them. Maybe you should try a
karaoke place.
Do
you know where I can get t-shirts, posters, etc. for (insert artist)?
Sorry, but you are
on your own. We don't handle the merchandising for our artists,
they are independently contracted by the artist and their management.
Can
I get backstage passes for (insert band)?
Sorry, but we don't
have backstage passes to give out. But if you know the band, can
you hook us up with one?
Do
you know when (insert artist) is coming to (insert city, state
or country)?
If it doesn't show
up on their website, we either a) don't have anything booked for
them at this time b) you are asking way too far in advance for
us to know c) we just don't know.
